No Clock, No Battery

Image
Do you need battery for your clock? Few days ago, my wife and I went to shopping at Outram Park. We were shopping for items that we truly need. As our mattress sheet were a bit torn, we decided to get 2 of them. At that moment, my wife remembered that our clock has stopped working and probably need a battery (C size). Therefore, we get a pair of them which cost us $1.50 After we reached home, my wife immediately went and change the clock's battery. After a while, I saw some frustration look on her face. "What's the matter? You need my help? I asked. "The clock is not working, can you please help me check is the clock spoilt? she said annoyingly. I took over the clock and placed the battery in the correct order (+ to + and - to -), pushed it all the way in and yet the clock was not ticking. Then I gave some hard knock trying to revive it. After I while, I told her "I pronounced this clock officially dead!" "What?!!...

Halloween For Minimalists

You might be wondering how minimalists would celebrate their halloween............ When you walk into places like DIASO, IKEA, GIANT, or FAIRPRICE etc, you will see a lot of halloween stuffs being sold. Not only this, a lot of "trick or treat stuffs" will be marked up at least 20-30% higher. As the day get closer or over, all these sweet treats' prices will then be marked down. So as a minimalist, we wouldn't want to accumulate useless stuffs that don't add values to our lives! So, how can we celebrate halloween totally and completely? Well, I have a suggestion........ Make your own "halloween stuffs" with whatever you have at home! For example, I taught my daughter how to make a halloween mask simply by using what she has at home (colour pencils, drawing paper, rubber band etc). Alternatively, you can have fun with them using free downloadable app like "egg". Watch how I turn into a werewolf here . This is how you can c...

For those who have been an Apple fan for pretty long time, likely they already knew that every one to two years, Apple will launched a new iPhone which is "pretty similar" to the previous version (except some new features been introduced) Although, iPhone itself is pretty minimalist as the creator keep it simple but just having a screen and a home button, but do you think that you should keep on upgrading your iPhone in every one to two years? For those who loves the many tricks that iPhone can do , or being productive to have a faster processing phone, probably would want to keep on upgrading, as for every upgrade, the processor get better and faster. However, as a minimalist, as our motto is "less is more" , do you really think that you should keep on upgrading to the latest iPhone even...
